Wayne Windham Architect is a full service architecture firm with over 40 years of experience designing custom homes and renovations in the Charleston, Bluffton, and Hilton Head areas.

Headed by principal and owner Wayne Windham, the firm has established a benchmark of exciting, dynamic, and functional designs. Wayne and his team have received numerous regional and national design awards recognizing his design sensitivity and ingenuity relating to the special qualities of place and client.​

As a family firm, we pride ourselves in the relationships we build with our clients, listening to your wish list ideas, designing based on your lifestyle, and taking advantage of the natural attributes of your site. Because we are a small firm, we only take a limited number of clients at one time so that we can devote a significant amount of time to create unique designs and offer great service. Wayne excels at designing for challenging sites and makes every effort to incorporate a client’s needs through creative problem solving.

About Wayne
Graduating from Clemson University in 1977, Wayne began his career on Hilton Head Island. Working under Hilton Head visionaries Wayne helped shape the residential character of the island. In 1981, he founded Wayne Windham Architect, P.A., later expanding his practice to Kiawah Island and opening a second office in Charleston by 1990. Although his portfolio comprises projects across the East Coast and internationally, his principal focus continues to be the Lowcountry of South Carolina. When Wayne is not designing homes, he enjoys spending time with his family, working on his farm, and hunting with his Chocolate Lab Drake.
